Below are samples of sold pieces in the Firescale Metal Quilt style. Firescale enamel consists of scorching the bare copper by firing the pieces in a 1500° Farenheit kiln. After dusting off the excess Firescale (black, flaky junk), Kim sifts transparent, dry powdered glass onto the copper and re-fires. Firescale Metal Quilts are muted jewel tones with background texture.
